As the jolly season of Christmas draws near, Sarkies at Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang has rolled out their Christmas & New Year’s buffet promotions.

We got a chance to sample some of the dishes that will be part of the festive International buffet spread with essential Christmas goodies like Roasted Whole Tom Turkey, Beef Prime Roast and Christmas themed desserts such as mince pie, Christmas Stolen and Christmas Pudding.

Of course the main star attraction for Christmas would be the Roasted Whole Tom Turkey. The Roasted Tom Turkey (5kg to 6kg for 10-15pax) is available for pre-order take away at RM490 nett. This includes chestnuts and apple stuffing, brussel sprouts, roasted baby potatoes, carrot vichy, giblet gravy with mushrooms and cranberry sauce.

Roasted Beef Prime

We enjoyed the roasted beef as well. The Oven Roasted Beef Prime (boneless 4kg for 12pax) is also available for pre-order take away at RM530nett and includes brussel sprouts roasted baby potatoes, carrot vichy, herb & mushroom gravy.

For hot dishes, enticing dishes include oysters gratin with special sauce, braised lamb shank, seared snapper and for some local twist, assam king tiger prawns and yong chow fried rice in lotus leaf vie for our attention.
