Bored of local favourites? Try the Japanese Asian Style Bentos. We managed to try the Sweet & Spicy Fish Bento (RM8.50)
The fish slices were fresh, crisp and not over fried, with a pleasant sauce that was more sweet than spicy. Not bad at all!
We were told that the Unagi Fried Egg Rice (RM12.90) is a best seller which sold out on opening day. Visually, it may not look like much, but this is the classic example of not judging a book by its cover. For the Unagi Fried Egg Rice is, to put it simply – out of this world. This dish definitely took me by surprise. It’s egg sauce gives the rice a creamy texture while the accompanying snow peas give it crunch and bite. No wonder its a best seller!
From local to Japanese, let’s move on to a lil Western fare shall we? We kick off the western section with a simple classic Spaghetti Chicken Bolognese (RM6.90). I liked the bolognese sauce but will always prefer it with beef instead of chicken. But still, this dish is by no means inferior. Would be a hit with the kids, I reckon.
The Cheesy Chicken Lasagna (RM9.90) was another crowd pleaser. As the name implies, it was cheesy. It was yummy! Nuff said!
The Mushroom Chicken Chop with Garlic Butter Rice (RM9.90) was just mediocre in my opinion. Probably overshadowed by the Unagi Fried Egg Rice, Udang Sambal rice and Tom yam!
The Capsicum Prawn Fried Rice (RM7.90) was a simple and tasty. The winner here was most definitely the fiery sambal!
it was a great gathering the other day. 🙂

Hi Lingzie
Try Friendship Cafe in Chai Leng Park. The nasi lemak with chicken rendang is good. It is cooked with eveporated milk instead of coconut milk. There are other items which are nice as well. The cafe is next to Hong Leong Bank. The food is more orginal, unlike those cafe food which looks more like microwave or instant food.
